The Moving Museum London

The Moving Museum arrived in London October 2013 during Frieze Art Fair with its exhibition Open Heart Surgery. The exhibition was an exploration of London’s most urgent artistic voices which brought together solo presentations of newly commissioned artworks from 31 artists. More than 200 multi-media works were showcased in an exhibition that captivated the city, attracting thousands of visitors, generating significant international media and prompting discussion and debate on and offline.

In collaboration with exhibition partner The Vinyl Factory, The Moving Museum was the first to occupy 40,000 sq/ft of the sprawling Brutalist building at 180 The Strand. During the time we produced a limited edition 9-plate vinyl box set with 9 of the exhibition artists, a comprehensive publication and several video interviews with artists.
